Mutual Trading Co., Issues Allergy Alert Undeclared Milk in Prepared Monkfish Liver
New York Mutual Trading Co., Inc of Secaucus, NJ is recalling 7.05 oz of Prepared Monkfish Liver (Ankimobo) because the package label contains undeclared milk allergen. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk allergen run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.
The Prepared Monkfish Liver was distributed in FL, GA, MD, NJ, and NY mainly through restaurants and some retail stores.
- The prepared monkfish liver is in a 7.05 oz polyethylene vacuum pouch, UPC code is 72546611224, and lot code is 2025.6.30 or before this date.
No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this issue.
The Quaker Oats Company recalls Pearl Milling Company Pancake and Waffle Mix
CHICAGO, Illinois – January 14, 2025 – The Quaker Oats Company today issued a recall of a limited number of two pound boxes of Pearl Milling Company Original Pancake & Waffle Mix that may contain undeclared milk, after being alerted by a retail partner. Those with an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the recalled product.
Consumers would have been able to purchase this mix as early as November 18, 2024. The product included in this recall was distributed to certain retailers in the following 11 states: Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, Mississippi, Nebraska, Utah and Wisconsin.
No allergic reactions related to this matter have been reported to date.
No other Pearl Milling Company products are recalled.
Wismettac Asian Foods, Inc. recalls Shirakiku Snack foods-Corn Puffs
Wismettac Asian Foods, Inc., Santa Fe Springs, CA is recalling 2.46 oz packages of Shirakiku brand Curvee Puffs Corn Puff Snack Curry Flavor. The product contains the undeclared milk. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume those products.
The product was distributed nationwide in AK, AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, HI, IA, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, MI, MO, MS, NC, NE, NJ, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI through retail stores, restaurants, online business. The product was also exported to Mexico.
The product is packaged in a 2.46 oz flexible bag. The UPC for the product is 07441078512, located on the back right side of the product package. This issue affected all lot codes or date codes.
No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this issue.

Max Mobility, LLC. recalls Max Mobility/Permobil Speed Control Dial Component
Max Mobility/Permobil has initiated a nationwide recall of the Speed Control Dial component used with the SmartDrive MX2+ Power Assist Device due to potential safety and performance concerns. Customers were notified by email on December 20, 2024.
Max Mobility/Permobil has identified a material change with the printed circuit board assembly in the Speed Control Dial. The material change can cause performance issues such as:
- Continued drive: The Speed Control Dial does not fully stop the drive unit when rotated to the zero position.
- Involuntary movement: Unintended activation of the SmartDrive motor without intentional user input while the Speed Control Dial is at the zero position and the dial light is flashing in standby mode.
- Loss of power: When the Speed Control Dial is rotated forward from the zero position, SmartDrive motor movement is initiated, and then the Speed Control Dial unexpectedly shuts down.
- Failure to start driving: When the dial is rotated forward from the zero position, no SmartDrive motor activation occurs.
As of December 12, 2024, we have received 646 complaints associated with the Speed Control Dial. Additionally, three serious injuries have been reported for this issue. The reported serious injuries include a fractured hip, fractured tibia, and fractured malleolus bone. Impacted products were manufactured and distributed through authorized dealers for purchase by consumers between August 17, 2023, and November 21, 2024.
