The Harvard Drug Group, LLC Issues Voluntary Nationwide Recall of Dronabinol Capsules, USP, 2.5 mg and Ziprasidone Hydrochloride Capsules, 20 mg Due to Label Mix-up
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – June 13, 2023 – La Vergne, TN, The Harvard Drug Group, LLC d/b/a Major Pharmaceutical and Rugby Laboratories is initiating a voluntary recall of a single lot of Dronabinol Capsules, USP, 2.5 mg and Ziprasidone Hydrochloride Capsules, 20 mg to the consumer level. The Harvard Drug Group, LLC received a customer complaint from a distributor, that some unit dose cartons labeled as Ziprasidone Hydrochloride Capsules, 20 mg were found to contain blister packages labeled as and containing Dronabinol Capsules, USP, 2.5 mg for Lot T04769. Accordingly, The Harvard Drug Group, LLC is recalling all of Lot T04769, Dronabinol Capsules, USP, 2.5 mg, which may be in outer cartons that read Dronabinol Capsules, USP, 2.5 mg OR Ziprasidone Hydrochloride Capsules, 20 mg.

Gelato Boy Issues Allergy Alert on Undeclared Milk in Chocolate Chunk Gelato
June 14th, 2023, Gelato Boy of Boulder, Colorado is recalling 728 cases / 5,824 units of Chocolate Chunk Gelato because it may contain undeclared MILK. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to MILK run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.
Gelato Boy Chocolate Chunk was distributed nationwide and is sold at grocery stores, including but not limited to Sprouts Farmer’s Market, King Soopers / City Market, Whole Foods Market and others. The product can be found in the ice cream and novelties aisle.
The product is labeled “CHOCOLATE CHUNK GELATO” and comes in a 16 fl oz paper pint container with a lid. The affected Lot Code is 4043T2, with a Best By date of 04/25. The UPC is 853457008002.
Supplement Manufacturing Partner, Inc. Issues Allergy Alert on Undeclared Milk in Havasu Nutrition Beet Root Powder+
Supplement Manufacturing Partner Inc. is recalling Havasu Nutrition’s Beet Root Powder + because it contains an undeclared milk allergen. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of serious or a life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.
The product was distributed online through Amazon and www.havasunutrition.com, and is packaged in 11.5-ounce jars with lot # 111-2023021 and a Best by Date of January 2026 printed on the bottom of the bottle.
There has been one allergic reaction to the undeclared milk reported to date.
Willamette Valley Fruit Co. Recalls Great Value Sliced Strawberries, Great Value Mixed Fruit Great Value Antioxidant Blend, Rader Farms Organic Fresh Start Smoothie Blend, and Rader Farms Organic Berry Trio Because of Possible Health Risk
Willamette Valley Fruit Co, Salem, OR is voluntarily recalling select packages of frozen fruit containing strawberries grown in Mexico due to the potential for Hepatitis A contamination.
Hepatitis A is a contagious liver disease that results from exposure to the Hepatitis A virus, including from food. It can range from a mild illness lasting a few weeks to a serious illness lasting several months. Illness generally occurs within 15 to 50 days of exposure and includes fatigue, abdominal pain, jaundice, abnormal liver tests, dark urine and pale stool. In rare cases, particularly consumers who have a pre-existing severe illness or are immune compromised, Hepatitis A infection can progress to liver failure. Persons who may have consumed affected product should consult with their health care professional or local health department to determine if a vaccination is appropriate, and consumers with symptoms of Hepatitis A should contact their health care professionals or the local health department immediately. HEB: Rader Farms Organic Berry Trio distributed to HEB stores in Texas from July 18th, 2022 to June 8th, 2023.
Wawona Frozen Foods Voluntarily Recalls Organic Daybreak Blend Processed and Sold in 2022 Due to Possible Health Risk
(Clovis, California) Wawona Frozen Foods is voluntarily recalling year-old packages of its Organic DayBreak Blend distributed to Costco Wholesale stores in Arizona, California, Colorado, Utah and Washington from April 15, 2022 to June 26, 2022 because the DayBreak Blend includes organic frozen strawberries grown in Mexico which may have the potential to be contaminated with Hepatitis A.
Wawona Frozen Foods is issuing this voluntary recall for the year-old Organic DayBreak Blend out of an abundance of caution. There have been no illnesses associated with this voluntary and precautionary recall.
While the Organic DayBreak Blend was distributed to Costco stores last year, they have “Use By” dates of 09/23/2023, 09/29/2023, 09/30/2023 and 10/18/2023 therefore consumers are urged to check their freezers for the recalled blend, not to consume it and either discard the product or return it to the store for a refund.
