Cardinal Health Issues Voluntary Nationwide Recall of Webcol™ Large Alcohol Prep Pad
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE / DUBLIN, Ohio, March 19, 2026 – Cardinal Health has issued a voluntary recall for select lots of Webcol™ Large Alcohol Prep Pads (70% isopropyl alcohol) to the consumer level. The product is being recalled due to microbial contamination identified as Paenibacillus phoenicis.
There is a reasonable probability that use of the contaminated pads may result in local and systemic infections in at-risk populations; patients with impaired immune response, including patients with cancer receiving chemotherapy or poorly controlled diabetes, may develop life-threatening infections such as bacteremia or central nervous system infections.

Mama Grande Tortilla Factory of Mission, Texas is recalling Gorditas de Azucar and Doraditas de Azucar because they may contain undeclared wheat and soy. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to wheat or soy run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume these products.
The recalled products were distributed from February 02, 2026 - March 05, 2026 to retail stores and wholesale customers in Texas.
The products can be identified as:
- Gorditas de Azucar – UPC 860010238134 – All Expiration Dates
- Doraditas de Azucar – UPC 5901234123457 – All Expiration Dates
The products are packaged in plastic bags labeled with the product name and corresponding UPC code on the front of the package.
No illnesses have been reported to date.
