Dynarex Corporation recalls dynacare Baby Powder
Dynarex Corporation Recalls Product Due to Possible Health Risk
Montvale, NJ, September 19, 2024 — Dynarex Corporation is recalling 62 cases of item number 4875, Dynacare Baby Powder, Batch Number B 051, because it has the potential to be contaminated with asbestos. Asbestos is a naturally occurring mineral that is often found near talc, an ingredient in many cosmetic products. Asbestos, however, is a known carcinogen and its health risks are well-documented. During talc mining, if talc mining sites are not selected carefully or steps taken to purify the talc ore sufficiently, the talc may be contaminated with asbestos.
The product was sent to distributors on or after March 11, 2024, by direct delivery in the following states: AL, AR, CO, IL, KY, NC, NJ, PA, TN, FL, WA, WI and sold online on Amazon (Amazon.com).
The 4875 Baby Powder is packaged in 14 oz. plastic bottles, 24 bottles to a case, identified as batch/lot number B051, Expiration Date 2026/12/28 (located on the bottom of the bottle).
There have been no illnesses or adverse events reported to date.

123herbals recalls Vail-Bon Jie Yang Wan
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Date 09/18/2024 – Rosemead, CA, 123herbals is voluntarily recalling all lots of Vail-Bon Jie Yang Wan capsules to the consumer level. The product has been found to be tainted with the drug ingredients, dexamethasone and chlorpheniramine. Vail Bon Jie Yang Wan capsules is an unapproved new drug for which the safety and efficacy have not been established and, therefore, subject to recall.
Risk Statement: If used chronically at the recommended dose, dexamethasone could cause severe and serious adverse events such as adrenal suppression (a disorder in which the adrenal glands do not produce enough hormones), central nervous system and psychiatric/behavioral effects, weight gain, gastrointestinal effects, elevated blood glucose, increased infection risks, neuromuscular and skeletal side effects, ocular effects, cardiovascular effects, dermatologic effects endocrine and metabolic issues, among other adverse events not mentioned. Depending on the dose and duration of the systemic dexamethasone, these adverse events may be severe and even life threatening. Chlorpheniramine is an antihistamine available in several over the counter products. Inadvertent use of tainted Vail-Bon Jie Yang Wan capsules could lead to a higher than intended chlorpheniramine dose, which could potentially cause overexcitement, loss of coordination, drowsiness, loss of consciousness, and seizures. To date, 123Herbals has not received any reports of adverse events related to this recall.
Bionpharma Inc. recalls BionPharma Atovaquone Oral Suspension, 750 mg/mL
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – September 17, 2024 – Princeton, NJ, Bionpharma Inc. is voluntarily recalling (1) single Batch (2310083) of Atovaquone Oral Suspension, 750mg per mL to the consumer level. The product was manufactured by CoreRx, Inc. in Clearwater, FL and distributed by Bionpharma Inc. The product was found to be contaminated with Cohnella bacteria.
Risk Statement: In the population most at risk, immunocompromised population, there is a reasonable probability that microbial contamination of Atovaquone Oral Suspension can result in disseminated, life threatening infections such as inflammation of the heart and permanent damage to soft tissue. To date, Bionpharma has not received any reports of adverse events related to this recall.

On 8/29/24 the firm was notified by the by their supplier that the label does not state that the Asafetida used in the product contains wheat.

KTM Services, Inc. of Honolulu, HI is recalling its 5.3 ounce and 17.7 ounce packages of Enjoy Premium Taro Cookie and Enjoy Premium Coconut Cookie because they contain undeclared Milk. People who have allergies to Milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.
The recalled Cookies were distributed in Hawaii, Guam, Las Vegas Nevada retail stores and through web sales. The cookies have a Best By date between 9/12/24 through 8/7/25 stamped on the top of the bag. Cookies with an expired Best By date prior to 9/12/24 have a Milk allergen missing from the label.
