Latin Foods Market Issues Voluntary Nationwide Recall of Artri King Reforzado Con Ortiga Y Omega 3 Due to the Presence of Undeclared Diclofenac and Dexamethasone
Latin Foods Market is voluntarily recalling one lot, LOTE 334 21, of Artri King Reforzado con Ortiga y Omega 3 tablets to the consumer level. FDA analysis has found the product to be tainted with diclofenac and dexamethasone. Diclofenac and dexamethasone are both FDA approved drugs. Diclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) indicated for the management of pain and arthritis and dexamethasone is a corticosteroid indicated for a variety of indications including but not limited to arthritis. The presence of diclofenac and dexamethasone in Artri King Reforzado con Ortiga y Omega 3 renders it an unapproved drug for which the safety and efficacy has not been established and, therefore, subject to recall.
Green Pharmaceuticals Inc Issues Voluntary Nationwide Recall of SnoreStop NasoSpray Due to Microbial Contamination
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – June 09, 2022 – Camarillo, California, Green Pharmaceuticals Inc is voluntarily recalling lot 2373/21222 of SnoreStop NasoSpray, packaged in 0.3 FL OZ (9ml) bottles to the consumer level. FDA testing found product to contain microbial contamination identified as Providencia rettgeri.
This microorganism is rarely associated with human illness; however, in immunocompromised patients, the use of the recalled product could potentially result in severe or life-threatening adverse events such as bacteremia/sepsis, pneumonia, invasive fungal rhinosinusitis, or disseminated fungal infection. In non-immunocompromised patients, the use of the recalled product may result in infectious complications that are expected to be less severe and more readily responsive to treatment. To date, Green Pharmaceuticals Inc has not received any reports of adverse events related to this recalled lot.
The product is used as a nasal spray to temporarily help stop or reduce symptoms of non-apneic snoring and is packaged in one single unit plastic bottle with a nasal pump as a delivery system. The affected SnoreStop NasoSpray lot include the following: 2372/21222 (2373 is printed on a sticker placed on the bottom of the bottle and 21222 is on a sticker placed on the outer packaging). The product can be identified by a clear transparent plastic box with the name SnoreStop NasoSpray. The product was distributed nationwide in health food stores and online.

888 Food Company in S. El Monte, CA is recalling Ho King Fish Ball, Ho King Fried Fish ball, Giai Phat Fried Fish Loaf, Giai Phat Fried Fish Cake, Giai Phat Fish Ball, Giai Phat Fried Fish Ball, Giai Phat Featherback Fish Ball, Giai Phat Fried Featherback Fish Ball, Giai Phat Shrimp Ball, and Giai Phat Cuttle Fish Ball because it may contain undeclared eggs. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to eggs run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.
Recalled products were mainly distributed in California through distributor and direct delivery to retail stores. Small portions of these products were distributed to retailers in Indiana and Illinois.
Built Brands Voluntarily Recalls "Banana Cream Pie Puffs" Protein Bar Because of a Possible Health Risk
Built Brands, LLC. of American Fork, UT, is recalling 4,196 individual bars of its “Banana Cream Pie Puffs” protein bar because they have the potential to be contaminated with pathogenic Escherichia coli. Although the exact strain has yet to be determined customers must not eat this product as it may pose a serious health risk. Pathogenic Escherichia coli can cause diarrhea, severe stomach cramps and vomiting. Most people recover within a week, but some illnesses can last longer and can be more severe.
The recalled product was distributed nationwide to 1,049 potential customers through mail orders, and would have been received by customers after June 6, 2022.
The product comes in a 40 gram package marked with lot # D22151011 on the outside of the wrapper.
